While some disposable masks available for general hygiene purposes may have antibacterial properties, these masks do not filter out nano-level particulate contamination. This means these masks cannot filter out fine dust and viruses over a sustained period.

The synthetic fibers in conventional disposable masks use a rough mesh to trap dust and viruses using an electrostatic charge. Ultimate YAMASHIN Filter Masks™ and Ultimate YAMASHIN Filter Sheets™ use complex technology featuring Nano level three-dimensional structures providing superb filtration performance.
